Is Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride comedogenic/clog pores? AND what is it?
Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides is a mixed triester derived from coconut oil mainly used as an emollient, dispersing agent, and solvent. As an emollient, it both quickly penetrates the surface to condition the skin and provides a lightweight and non-greasy barrier of lubrication.
Comedogenic ingredients tend to be fatty emollients (but not all fats). Comedogenicity is complex. In fact, avoiding particular ingredients isn’t helpful because what really matters is the comedogenicity of the final product.
The degree of comedogenicity is determined by the quantity of the ingredient in question, the length of time it sits on the skin, where on the face or body it is applied, whether there are other comedogenic ingredients in the product, and individual skin chemistry. In fact, comedogenicity is highly variable across people due to differences in a person’s skin enzymes. An ingredient may be highly comedogenic for one person, but not at all for another. Also, the combination of ingredients in a product matters, and since Adorns Liquid Foundation mainly consists of rosewater and minerals the formulation is considered non-comedogenic (won't clog pores).

Adorn's liquid mineral foundation comes in an airless bottle and may require some pumping for the first time to disperse any possible air pockets.
1. Ensure your Adorn Skin Primer Moisturiser or Facial Oil has absorbed first.
2. Apply liquid foundation evenly over the face. This formulation dries quite quickly and best applied with a damp Adorn Biodegradable Coconut Complexion Blender or our best-selling Kabuki Brush for more drier skin types.
Makeup Tip: Find your correct foundation shade by purchasing a sample. Apply a small amount along your jaw line in the cooler months, and décolletage in the warmer months; if it blends and there are no obvious lines, then it's a perfect match.
*Please store below 30 degrees and keep out of direct sunlight.
